With ironic black humour, Tissa photographs his ceramic toys modeled on figures of seventh century Dutch soldiers on a beach in Sri Lanka, an island nation which along with India, Indonesia, and South Africa was  a colony of the VOC -Dutch East India company, the first multinational in  the world.
